NA Standing Committee to open 32nd session next week

Hanoi (VNA) – The 32nd session of the14th National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee is scheduled to take place fromMarch 11 to 13.

The NA Office announced on March 8 that duringthe session, legislators will discuss the draft law amending and supplementingsome articles of the Law on State Audit, the draft revised Law on Militia andSelf-Defence Forces, the draft laws on architecture and library, and the draftrevised Law on Education.

The NA Standing Committee will also giveopinions about the parliament’s draft resolution on the settlement of taxarrears, fines, overdue fines, and arrears of taxpayers who went bankrupt ordissolved, who no longer have production and business activities, or who areunable to pay taxes.

At the session, participants will consider theapproval of a resolution on re-organising administrative units at the districtand communal levels between 2019 and 2021.

They will look into the establishment of the district-leveltownship of My Hao in Hung Yen province and the communal-level town of VinhVien in Long My district, Hau Giang province.

The parliamentarians will also scrutinise aresolution regulating posts and titles that have the highest ranks of lieutenantgeneral and major general in the people’s public security force, according tothe NA Office.–VNA
