The agreement was reached at the 22nd national-level meeting betweenMyanmar and India, which took place in New Delhi on October 25 and 26.
The Myanmar delegation was led by Deputy Minister of Home Affairs MajorGeneral Aung Thu while the Indian delegation was headed by Home Secretary RajivGauba.
The agreement on international border management included constructionof subsidiary border makers to better demarcate the 1,643 km border between thetwo nations.
The two sides also agreed on facilitating movement of people and tradeacross the international border and cooperate in preventing smuggling ofwildlife and narcotic drugs, said an official of the Indian Minister of HomeAffairs.
While in India, the Myanmar delegation also paid a courtesy visit toIndian Home Minister Rajnath Singh.-VNA
