Mural paintings give fresh touch to rural streets

A street in the Hanoi’s outskirts district of ĐanPhượng has recently got a new look in the form of mural paintings drawn by local youths. Let’s see how the appearance of the village has changed.

The mossy and riddled with posters streets in Dong Khe hamlet seems to have a new coat, becoming the most beautiful in the area thanks to an array of large scale and colourful murals.

Under the new style rural areas programme, all local streets’ sidewalks in Dong Khe hamlet have been decorated. However, there is no sidewalk on Hung street, a main street in the hamlet. Therefore, local youths were called to beautify their living area.

The paintings have helped improve the living space in rural areas. In the future, more murals will be painted and more walls will be decorated in local streets.

Though this is not a new idea, the mural paintings are meaningful for local people in Dong Khe hamlet since they help brighten up their lives.-VNA
