The key focuspoints of the programme will include Can Tho city and the provinces ofAn Giang, Kien Giang and Hau Giang, where cruise and business tours,festivals and beach resort services will all be offered.
TheCa Mau peninsula cluster with Ca Mau, Bac Lieu and Soc Trang provinceswill take visitors to mangrove forests and Khmer festivals.
The eastern coastal cluster comprising Tien Giang, Ben Tre, Vinh Longand Tra Vinh will focus on tours of rivers, craft villages andrevolutionary relic sites.
Meanwhile, Dong Thap Muoi clusterin Long An and Dong Thap will mesmerise holidaymakers with tours aroundflooded forests and wetlands.
From now until 2015, thelocalities will ramp up their lodging and entertainment infrastructureto world-class standards, while My Tho, Can Tho, Chau Doc, Rach Gia andPhu Quoc tourist ports will be up and running.
They will alsoliaise with partners in Southeast Asia and the Greater MekongSub-region, with a focus given to Cambodia. Other markets inNorth-eastern Asia, Western Europe and Northern America will receivecontinued attention.
