A range of activities havebeen carried out to promote and recover Vietnam’s tourism sector once the COVID-19pandemic is fully controlled.

The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) hasshaken hands with CNN International to launch a short video entitled “Why notVietnam?”, recommending tourists choose the country as the destination of theirnext holiday.

The 30-second video introduces major tourist productsand sites and concludes with “When you’re ready to travel again, why notVietnam?”

According to VNAT, the video highlights Vietnam’s charmand describes it as a safe and attractive destination for 2021.

The video is being aired on CNN Asia for six weeks startingfrom October 15 and can also be found at the Vietnamese tourism websitewww.vietnam.travel and other social network accounts of the country’s tourism sector.

Vietnam will continue introducing a series ofactivities to build upon the “Why not Vietnam?” video, including contests onsocial networks and advertisements and articles on the country’s effectiveresponse to COVID-19, assuring both local people and overseas visitors of theirhealth and safety.

VNAT Director Dinh Ngoc Duc said that through the “Whynot Vietnam?” campaign, the sector hopes to share the story of Vietnam’ssolidarity in fighting the pandemic and supporting international friends.

With many untouched landscapes, Vietnam providestourists with a peaceful journey exploring its unique local culture and cuisine.

Tourists can engage in the “Why not Vietnam” campaignby subscribing to @vietnamtourismboard on Facebook and Instagram or by accessingthe www.vietnam.travel website for moreinformation.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism launched thesecond domestic tourism promotion programme in September, focusing onoptimising information technology to improve the visitor experience byintroducing the “Du lich Viet Nam an toan” (Safe travel in Vietnam) mobile app.

The app helps tourists remain updated on the level ofsafety in their current location, while providing a digital map containing informationon safety and tourism services.

Just a few days after its release, the app has becomeone of the 30 most outstanding in the tourism sector. VNAT hopes that it willenter the top 10 and become popular among visitors and service providers./.
