This is the second meeting held by the conference since the Kingtook office. The first one was organised on October 25, 2020.
At the meeting, the King said that thecountry's parliament should reconvene as soon as possible, to allow lawmakersto debate different issues, especially those related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
With the reconvening, emergency ordinances and a coronavirusrecovery plan will also be discussed, he said.
The King underlined that inoculation against COVID-19 is the onlystrategy to control the spreading of the pandemic across the country.
Malaysia has been under a state of emergency since January12 until August 1 due to COVID-19. Parliament sittings are notallowed to take place during the emergency.
