Kuala Lumpur (VNA) – Malaysian Finance Minister Tengku Datuk SeriZafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz said on June 10 that the Government will do its bestto curb the COVID-19 pandemic and ensure that economic recovery will continue,starting from the second half of this year.
Speaking ata meeting of the National Inter-Agency EconomicStimulus Implementation and Coordination Unit, Aziz said thepublic can also play their part by ensuring that they are vaccinated byapplying through the MySejahtera mobile application.
Headded that as of May 28, the Government approved loans worth 12.06 billion RM (2.9billion USD) under the SME Soft Loans Funds operated by Bank Negara Malaysia(BNM), benefiting 25,605 small and medium enterprises.
Ithas so far issued a number of economic stimulus and financial assistancepackages for firms, most recently the PEMERKASA Plus package worth 40 billionRM. Accordingly, SMEs will receive 1,500 RM in June and July./.
