Kuala Lumpur (VNA) – The Immigration Department of Malaysia’s Johor Baru state hasarrested two men, including an Indonesian and a local, for falsifying passports and foreign working permits.
MasriAdul, head of the department, said at a press conference on October 6 that the Indonesian man, 33, was nabbed during a raid in Kampung Benhaharaat 9.15pm of October 5.
The department also seized eight Indonesian passports, a laptop, a printer, fake immigration stamp pads and stickers used to falsify the foreign working permits, and fake Construction Industry Development Board cards, he said.
He added that at around 11.15pm of the same day, a 29-year-old local man was arrested at JalanBentaraLuar in Polo Park Garden for being involved in the syndicate issuing fake passport stamps and flying passports.
Investigators seized fake stamp pads and several international passports, including two of Vietnam, among others.-VNA
