The Lunar New Year festival has become more significant for Vietnameseexpatriates in Thailand when a Vietnamese language school was inaugurated in KhanhAn Pagoda, the northeastern city of Udon Thani on January 24.
The school will offer Vietnamese language classes for Vietnamese in Udon Thaniand the whole northeastern region of Thailand.
In Mongolia, on January 25, the Vietnamese Embassy organised a Tet celebrationfor Vietnamese living in the country. At the ceremony, Ambassador Phan DangDuong wished the Vietnamese community a happy new year. Hailing the developingrelationship between Vietnam and Mongolia, the diplomat expressed hope thatoverseas Vietnamese will continue serving as a bridge for further promoting thebilateral ties.
On January 26, a similar event took place in Rome, the capital city of Italy, offeringa chance for Vietnamese people here to celebrate the Lunar New Year.-VNA
