Hanoi (VNA) - Lao Prime MinisterThongloun Sisoulith has urged ministries to remove any unnecessary barriers to improvethe investment environment and attract more capital from investors both in andoutside the country.
Addressing the 10th Lao Business Forum inVientiane, PM Sisoulith said the government is striving to create a favourablebusiness environment and simplify procedures that hinder the operations of bothdomestic and foreign enterprises.
The PM noted that Laos is facing various challengesand obstacles, resulting in slow change and ineffective promotion of a suitablebusiness environment, saying it was deterring foreign investors.
These difficult issues could be discussed at thegovernment’s monthly meetings to seek appropriate solutions, he added.
For her part, Lao Minister of Industry and CommerceKhemmani Pholsena said that the improvement of legal and regulatory environmentwas a prerequisite for the growth of private enterprises.-VNA
