Hanoi (VNA) – Politburo member Vo Van Thuong hosted a reception in Hanoi on March 7 for Tsutomu Takebe, special advisor to the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Alliance, who affirmed his continued contributions to developing the two countries’ relations.
Tsutomu Takebe informed the host of the implementation process of the Vietnam-Japan University project, as well as plans to carry out several other projects with Vietnam.
He stressed the importance of exchanges between young politicians and parliamentarians, which will create a firm political premise to develop bilateral ties.
Thuong, who is head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Information and Education, thanked the guest for his positive contributions to the two countries’ friendship and cooperation between their ministries, sectors and localities.
He said he appreciated Takebe’s efforts to foster the implementation of cooperation projects on culture and education, particularly Vietnam-Japan University .
He expressed his belief that with determination from the two countries’ senior leaders and care from Vietnam’s friends like Takebe, the bilateral relations will maintain strong development for the interests of the two peoples, and for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.-VNA
