The Republic of Korean government has pledged 2 million USD in humanitarian aid for affected areas. The figure from the Australian government is 3 million AUD as the initial aid, which includes humanitarian support, emergency relief supplies, and other essential services.
The US Embassy in Vietnam, through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), said it will provide 1 million USD in emergency humanitarian aid to assist Vietnam in overcoming the damage.
Japan, through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), aided emergency supplies to Vietnam, which includes 40 portable water filters and 200 multi-purpose plastic sheets, slated for delivery by September 16 to 17.
The ASEAN Coordinating Centre for Humanitarian Assistance on Disaster Management said, it will provide Vietnam with 2,002 family kits, 1,008 house repair kits, 1,015 kitchen sets, and 3,031 personal hygiene kits. The aid is scheduled to arrive at Noi Bai Airport between September 13 and 14.
UNICEF has delivered 80,000 water purification tablets to the Center for Disease Control of Thai Nguyen Province. It also plans to provide additional supplies, including water filtration units, ceramic filters, hand sanitizers, and soaps.
Other donors, such as UN Women, the Swiss Embassy, the French Embassy, and Save the Children, are collaborating with Vietnamese authorities to finalize plans for emergency support./.
