Indonesian security minister stabbed by man with knife

A man using a knife attacked Indonesian Chief Security Minister Wiranto on October 10 when he was visiting Pandeglang city in Banten province on the island of Java.
Hanoi(VNA) - A man using a knife attacked Indonesian Chief Security Minister Wirantoon October 10 when he was visiting Pandeglang city in Banten province on theisland of Java.

Images from policeand television showed the minister was getting out of a car before he wasattacked by the man allegedly "exposed to IS radicalism".

National policespokesman Dedi Prasetyo confirmed the incident and told media that a man and awoman had been arrested and an officer had been hurt.

Berkah Hospitalspokesman Firmansyah said the minister, who is a former military general, suffered"two deep wounds", but was conscious and in stable condition, adding that he would berushed to the capital Jakarta and may need surgery, AFP reported./.
