Images from policeand television showed the minister was getting out of a car before he wasattacked by the man allegedly "exposed to IS radicalism".
National policespokesman Dedi Prasetyo confirmed the incident and told media that a man and awoman had been arrested and an officer had been hurt.
Berkah Hospitalspokesman Firmansyah said the minister, who is a former military general, suffered"two deep wounds", but was conscious and in stable condition, adding that he would berushed to the capital Jakarta and may need surgery, AFP reported./.
