The continental event for athletes withdisabilities is scheduled to take place from October 6-13 in Jakarta.
INAPGOC Chairman Raja Sapta Oktohari said ticketsfor the opening ceremony would be sold at four price ranges between 500,000 -2.5 million rupiah (about 33.7 - 168 USD). Oneperson can buy four tickets at most, he added.
In addition to tickets for the opening ceremony,the committee has sold tickets for competitions at 10,000 – 200,000 rupiah.
INAPGOC has appointed ticketing managementsystem Loket to handle ticket sales. Vice Director of Marketing at Loket,Mohamad Ario Adimas noted that 70 percent of the ticket would be sold throughthe company’s networking.
The remaining 30 percent would be sold offline.However, the location for the sales is yet to be determined.
Some 20,000 tickets, or half of the Bung KarnoMain Stadium capacity, for the opening ceremony would be sold to the public. The remaining 20,000 seats would be allotted tosport delegations and guests.
Oktohari remarked that the Asian Para Gamesopening ceremony would bring the theme of morality and humanity, which wouldalso be enlivened by performance by the disabled.
As many as 2,832 disabled athletes from 43countries would compete in 18 sports at the Asian Para Games 2018. Sportdelegations will stay at the Kemayoran Athletes’ village.
Vietnameseathletes will compete in seven sports at the 2018 Asian Para Games, namelyathletics, swimming, power-lifting, badminton, table tennis, chess, and judo.
Prominent athletes include Paralympic gold medallist power-lifter Le VanCong and javelin thrower Cao Ngoc Hung.
At the previous Asian Para Games in 2014, Vietnam won nine gold, sevensilver, and 13 bronze medals, finishing tenth in the overall medal tally.-VNA
