The hosting ofthe upcoming DPRK-USA Hanoi Summit is a great success for Vietnam, head of theRoyal Academy of Cambodia’s International Relations Institute Sok Touch said.

In a recent interview granted to Vietnam News Agency’s correspondents inCambodia, he said this proves Vietnam’s ability to create a place ofnegotiations between power countries.

According to Sok Touch, the selection of Hanoias a location for the second summit between Chairmanof the Workers’ Party of Korea and the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK KimJong-un and US President Donald Trump on February 27-28 after the first in Singapore last year is partlybecause of the fact that Vietnam is no longer a low-income country but lookingtoward to a relatively high one and a typical sample of economic success.

It also demonstrates that Vietnam is a stableand secured country with security management capability, the expert said,adding that global investors can trust Vietnam as a safe investmentdestination.

Sok Touch said Vietnam will draw a lot of globalattention through this event. Thousands of cameras around the world are turningto Vietnam and this is a great opportunity for the Southeast Asian country topromote its land and people.-VNA
