HCM City expects further investment from China’s Dalian city

HCM City (VNA) – Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Council PhamDuc Hai has expressed his wish that more firms from the Chinese city of Dalianwould invest in the southern metropolis in the near future.

In a receptionon December 14 for Director of the Standing Committee of the People’s Congressof Dalian city Li Jingrui, Hai said the municipal People’s Council and thePeople’s Congress of Dalian city have similar roles and functions so that thetwo people-elected agencies should work closely together to push forward bilateralties, especially in the fields of economy, trade and investment.

He took thisoccasion to hail Chinese enterprises for their positive contributions to Ho ChiMinh City’s development.

Li, for hispart, said the People’s Congress of Dalian expects to cooperate with the HCMCity People’s Council to reinforce ties between the two cities.

The guestaffirmed that Dalian businesses want to choose Ho Chi Minh City as aninvestment destination in the future.-VNA
