Relations between Vietnam’s southern hub of Ho Chi Minh City and the Republic of Korea (RoK)’s localities have developed through economic cooperation and cultural exchanges.

HCM City (VNA) - Relations betweenVietnam’s southern hub of Ho Chi Minh City and the Republic of Korea (RoK)’slocalities have developed through economic cooperation and cultural exchanges.

Chairman of the HCM City People’s CommitteeNguyen Thanh Phong made the remark at a reception for RoK Ambassador to VietnamLee Hyuk in the city on November 16.

He said the two sides have signed severalcooperation agreements over the years, bringing in positive outcomes.

At present, HCM City and the RoK’sGyeongsangbuk-do are jointly organising a world cultural festival in the city, aimingto attract tourists, locals and businesses.

Lee Hyuk highlighted the growing bilateral tiesand hailed HCM City’s efforts in working with the RoK to host the festival.

He hoped the two sides will further promotecultural and people-to-people exchanges.-VNA
