Hanoi (VNA) - The Hanoi Promotion Month, which has been organised in November every year since 2009, is expected to stimulate consumption and build consumers’ trust, said Nguyen Thu Giang, Director of the Vietnam Yellow Pages JSC at a conference in Hanoi on October 27.

Representatives from the municipal Department of Industry and Trade said the programme has received warm responses from consumers and affirmed the prestige of participating enterprises.

With the message of “Good discounts – real values”, this year’s event is hoped to promote the sale of products with clear origin and good quality, they said.

Besides offering discounts of 20-50 percent, the programme will arrange parity outlets to provide more opportunities for consumers to buy goods at reasonable prices.

As part of the programme, a “credit festival” will take place from November 18-10, offering a chance for banks to cooperate with supermarkets, shopping centres and transport firms to encourage payment by credit cards.

In order to boost tourism and the city’s image, a three-day ‘tourism promotion festival’ will be held at the Ly Thai To Flower Garden with 50 booths from well-known tourism brand names.

Participants at the conference suggested introducing products with high discounts and good quality in the month, in order to attract more consumers.-VNA
