Hanoi discovers five more COVID-19 cases in community

The capital city of Hanoi logged five more COVID-19 cases in the community in the past 12 hours to 6am on October 10, bringing the total local transmissions in the past two days to seven, reported the municipal Department of Health.

Hanoi (VNA) – The capital city of Hanoi logged five more COVID-19 cases inthe community in the past 12 hours to 6am on October 10, bringing the total localtransmissions in the past two days to seven, reported the municipal Department of Health.

Of newcases, three were found in Nam Tu Liem district, one in Ba Dinh district and another inTay Ho district.

Competent agencies are quickly tracing, testing and quarantining thoseconcerned to prevent the virus from spreading in the community.

SinceApril 29, Hanoi has recorded 3,980 cases, including 1,608 in the community andthe remainders in quarantined establishments.

Earlier,a SARS-CoV-2 positive case was discovered at Viet Duc Friendship Hospital inHoan Kiem district.

The district People's Committee directed the local medical centre to work with the Hanoi Centre for Disease Control to lock down and disinfect the entire D building of the hospital./.
