COVID-19: 7,940 cases recorded on September 30

Vietnam recorded 7,940 COVID-19 infections, including three imported cases, in the past 24 hours to 5pm on September 30, according to the Ministry of Health.

Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnam recorded 7,940 COVID-19infections, including three imported cases, in the past 24 hours to 5pm onSeptember 30, according to the Ministry of Health.
 
Ho Chi Minh City, the country’s current largestpandemic hotspot, continued to report the highest number of infections with 4,372cases. At the same time, 3,417 cases detected by rapid testing on September 28were confirmed.

The southern Binh Duong province logged 2,103 cases, Dong Nai626, An Giang 172, and Long An 125. The capital city of Hanoi reported onecases.
 
The country has to date logged 790,755 COVID-19cases.

A total of 25,322 patients were given theall-clear on September 30, raising the number of recoveries to 608,831.

Meanwhile, 159 deaths related to COVID-19 wereannounced on the day, and some provinces reported 44 deaths from previous days,raising the death toll to 19,301.

As of the end of September 29, over 42.16 millionpeople have been vaccinated with at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccines, withnearly 9.5 million already receiving full two shots./.

Hanoi tightens control, prevention of monkeypox
