Hai Phong offers free wifi to 10 workers’ rental house areas

Hai Phong (VNA) – The Federation ofLabour in the northern city of Hai Phong on March 6 launched a free wifinetwork for workers living in rented houses.

The local chapter of the Vietnam Posts andTelecommunications Group (VNPT) installed the free internet service in 10locations with a high density of rental houses for workers in An Duong, DuongKinh, An Lao, and Thuy Nguyen districts.

More than 400 labourers will benefit fromthe programme.

Hai Phong now houses 170 workers’ rentalhouse areas, offering 1,700 rooms and accommodating 3,414 workers.

Hai Phong is the third city, after thecapital city of Hanoi and the southern largest economic hub of Ho Chi MinhCity, to install free wifi networks for workers’ rental house areas.-VNA

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.
