Director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports andTourism Le Xuan Huy attributed the growth to ecological, spiritual, cultural,rural, medical and green tourism services.
This year, the Tam Chuc spiritual tourism complex has beenchosen as a venue for the 16th United Nation Day of Vesak.
The provincial tourism sector set the goal of serving 2.5 –3 million visitors, including 190,000 foreigners by 2020, and 7.6 million by2030.
The total tourism revenue will reach 2 trillion VND andaround 10.3 trillion VND by 2020 and 2030, respectively, up 10 – 15 percent onaverage. Up to 21,000 jobs will be created, including more than 8,300 direct jobs.
To such end, the sector will build and popularise Ha Namtourism trademark, work with the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism andthe Vietnam Tourism Association to join tourism fairs in traditional marketssuch as Japan, China, the Republic of Korea, and in new markets like Russia,Germany, UK, Canada and India, and welcome famtrip groups to the province./.
