Hanoi (VNA) – The Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China hopes to beef up practical cooperation with Vietnam across sectors, a local official has said.
First Vice Governor of the region’s People’s Government Tang Renjian made the remark while meeting Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh in Hanoi on December 17.
Local authorities and people attach great importance to consolidating the traditional friendship and cooperation with Vietnamese ministries, sectors, and localities, especially when it comes to infrastructure connectivity projects, he said.
Deputy PM Minh extolled the positive developments in the bilateral cooperation and proposed the Chinese province continue to work alongside Vietnam to realise common perceptions reached by leaders of the two countries, while promoting affiliation in economics, trade, investment, transport, agriculture, and tourism.
He said he expects the two sides would implement effectively Vietnam-China land border documents as well as finalise all necessary procedures to open and upgrade border gates facilitating the transportation of goods and passengers, and build a shared borderline of peace, friendship, stability and development.-VNA
