Berlin (VNA) – Minister ofPlanning and Investment and Chairman of the Vietnam – Germany FriendshipAssociation Nguyen Chi Dung on March 17 presented gifts and Friendship Order ofthe Vietnamese State to German individuals and organisations who contributed tobilateral traditional friendship and cooperation.

As part of his ongoing working visit toGermany at the invitation of the host Minister for Economic Affairs and EnergyPeter Altmaier, the event attracted German friends and Vietnamese nationalsliving in Germany.

Minister Dung said his visit aims tostrengthen bilateral ties, especially in economy, trade and investment, and spokehighly of German friends’ support for Vietnamese people during the anti-US war inthe past and national development at present, he said bilateral friendship andcomprehensive partnership across economy, trade, culture, education and sciencehave thrived.

According to him, political trust, culturalsimilarities and achievements in coordination over the past four decades havecreated a strong driving force to lift bilateral ties to a greater height.

He expressed his hope that Vietnam willreceive further support from Germany in national construction and development.

Ambassador to Germany Nguyen Minh Vu saidthe exchange contributes to raising mutual understanding and deepening the closeties between the two peoples, thus reinforcing the Vietnam – Germany relationsin the near future.-VNA
