Despite facing outbreaks of COVID-19, the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center has collaborated with a number of KOLs in culinary channels to conduct a livestream programme "Mam mam Da Nang," to demonstrate the preparation of some typical dishes of Da Nang and Da Thanh.
The complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic in Vietnam and around the world have made it impossible for tourists to travel and explore the cuisine. This programme is aimed at introducing tourists to destinations in Da Nang as well as its cuisine, according to Huynh Thi Huong Lan, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Centre.
The broadcasts have brought viewers interesting perspectives about the typical cuisine of the coastal city such as banh xeo, fish vermicelli, Quang noodles, seafood dishes, etc. These dishes are popular among locals and tourists in Da Nang. Through the programme, viewers can easily find the answer to the question "what should I eat in Da Nang?"
“The 'Mam mam Da Nang' livestreams want to remind the audience that cooking is not just about ingredients and recipes. It's also about the love, passion and traditional values of the family to eat delicious meals together and implement the 5K message to prevent and fight against COVID-19,” Lan said./.
