Hanoi (VNA) – Thecentral coastal city of Da Nang saw a significant growth in internationaltourist arrivals in 2017, according to the city’s Department of Tourism.
The number of internationaltravellers to the city rose by 36.8 percent from 2016 to 2.3 million this year.
In 2017, about 6.6 million visitorscame to Da Nang, up 19 percent over the previous year and 4.8 percent higherthan its yearly target. The figure included 4.3 million domestic tourists, up11.3 percent year-on-year.
The central city earned over 19.4trillion VND (853.96 million USD) in revenue, an increase of 20.6 percent from2016.
Statistics also show that the citywitnessed an impressive increase in the number of visitors by air which stoodat over 1.58 million, up 74.4 percent while by-car visitors via Thailand andLaos was estimated at 14,120.-VNA
