Hanoi (VNA) – Da Nangcity is one of the top 10 best places in the world for foreigners to live in2018, according to the international tourism magazine Live and Invest Overseas(LIO).

Da Nang city is the only Vietnamesedestination in the list.

“DaNang is third-largest city in Vietnam behind capital Hanoi and business hub HoChi Minh City. Were it not for the skyscrapers, bridges, malls, endless streamof motorbikes and the whir of air conditioners, today’s Da Nang could easily be1960s Da Nang”, the magazine wrote.

In 2017, Da Nang hosted 6.6 millionvisitors, a year-on-year increase of 19 percent, and earned more than 19.4trillion VND (853.6 million USD) from tourism, up 20.6 percent from 2016 andfulfilling 104.9 percent of the set target.

The online marketplace andhospitality service Airbnb also announced a list of the world’s top 10destinations for 2018, in which Da Nang ranked fifth in booking surges of up to255 percent.-VNA
