Cuban youth delegation visits Quang Tri

A Cuban delegation led by First Secretary of the National Committee of the Young Communist League (UJC) Susely Morfa González visited a relic site of the provisional revolutionary government of the Republic of South Vietnam in Cam Lo district, the central province of Quang Tri on May 20.

Quang Tri (VNA) – A Cuban delegation led by FirstSecretary of the National Committee of the Young Communist League (UJC) SuselyMorfa González visited a relic site of the provisional revolutionary governmentof the Republic of South Vietnam in Cam Lo district, the central province ofQuang Tri on May 20.

The visit took place on the occasion of the 45th anniversaryof Cuban President Fidel Castro’s visit to Quang Tri.

Cuban guests met Vietnamese officers, soldiers and studentsin the site and recalled the history of glorious struggles of the two nationsfor national independence.

González said the UJC holds an activity each month duringthis year to mark the occasion.

The same day, the delegation visited Quang Tri AncientCitadel – a special national relic site that witnessed 81 days and nights of QuangTri people’s fight against the US invaders, and special national relic HienLuong – Ben Hai river banks.-VNA
