Hanoi (VNA) – A flight operated by Vietjet Air brought 230 Vietnamese citizens in Taiwan (China) home on October 27 thanks to joint efforts byrelevant Vietnamese agencies and Taiwanese authorities.
Passengers on therepatriation flight included children under 18, the elderly, the ill, workerswhose visas and contracts had expired, students without accommodations, andothers in difficult circumstances.
In-flight safety and preventive measuresagainst COVID-19 were rigorously enforced to protect passengers’ health andprevent the spread of diseases.
All passengers and crew members receivedmedical checkups and were sent to quarantine in line with regulations upon arrival at Can Tho International Airport.
The repatriation of Vietnamese citizens indisadvantaged circumstances abroad will continue to be conducted in line withcitizens’ wishes, the development of the COVID-19 pandemic and quarantinecapacity in the country./.
