Hanoi (VNA) – China’s Ministry of ForeignAffairs said on February 28 that it hopes dialogue and communications betweenthe United States and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) willcontinue.
Speaking at a regular news briefing in Beijing, ChineseForeign Ministry spokesman Lu Kang said both sides had expressed sincerity attheir second summit.
The meeting took place at the Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoiin Vietnam’s capital on the same day to discuss the denuclearisation of theKorean peninsula.
Meanwhile, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) of the DPRKreported that on February 28 afternoon, a DPRK foreign ministry delegation, ledby Vice Minister Ri Kil-song, left Vietnam for China.
Earlier, at a post-summit press conference, US PresidentDonald Trump said that China has provided significant support for the DPRK andthat during their meeting, he and DPRK leader Kim Jong-un had talked extensivelyabout China. –VNA
