Hanoi (VNA) – Experts have given positive feedbacks on theinitiative to establish diplomatic liaison offices in the US and the DemocraticPeople’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), which was raised at the DPRK-USA HanoiSummit Vietnam between US President Donald Trump and DPRK leader Kim Jong-un inHanoi on February 28.
Ankit Panda, an editor at The Diplomat, described it as a specific and timelymove to change the bilateral relations in a positive manner.
Meanwhile, Julian Borger from The Guardian said a liaison office is what theDPRK expects when establishing diplomatic ties with the US.
The DPRK leader Kim told the press after his extended meeting with US PresidentDonald Trump that the idea of the US setting up a liaison office in Pyongyangshould be welcomed. Meanwhile, President Trump said it is a good idea.-VNA
