The Binh Thuan Investigation Police Agency decided to launch legal proceedings against and detain eight suspects for investigation of their allegedly involvement in recent social disturbance.

Binh Thuan (VNA) – The Binh Thuan InvestigationPolice Agency decided to launch legal proceedings against and detain eightsuspects for investigation of their allegedly involvement in social disturbance,property destruction and resisting on-duty officers.

According to the provincial police spokesperson ColonelNguyen Van Nhieu, the eight suspects directly joined in activities disturbingsocial order and destroy properties at Phan Ri Cua town in Tuy Phong district,and Phan Ri Thanh town in Bac Binh district on June 10-11.

The Chairman of the People’s Committee of Binh Thuanprovince has signed a decision designating temporary restricted areas and sitesat the headquarters of the provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, andPeople’s Committee.

The decision bans the intrusion into and the use of devicessuch as camera, mobile phone, tablet and flycam to take photo or video clips ordraw maps of the restricted areas, except for authorized forces on duty andthose who have permission from the provincial People’s Council and People’sCommittee.

It also prohibits the obstruction of normal activities ofthe People’s Council and People’s Committee, the disturbance of security andorder at the restricted areas, and the incitement of others to cause disorder.

Under the decision, weapons, explosives and flammable orpoisonous materials are not allowed to be brought into the areas without priorpermission of the People’s Council and People’s Committee.

Violators will be subject to administrative punishmentsunder Decree 167/2013/ND-CP dated November 12, 2013, or be handled according tothe Criminal Code.-VNA
