HCM City (VNA) – The 2019 High-Quality Vietnam Goods awards were presentedto 542 businesses at a ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City on February 20.
The winning firms operate in a wide range ofindustries, including confectionery, food, dairy products and beverage; freshagricultural products; stationery; cosmetics; textile-garment, leather;plastics; metalwork and household machinery; construction materials; andfertilizer.
Some of these businesses include ABC Bakery Co.Ltd, Vinamit JSC, Thien Long Group JSC, Kem Nghia JSC, and Viet Tiep Lock JSC.
They were selected through a survey by theHigh-Quality Vietnamese Goods Business Association.
It directly interviewed 12,000 households and5,400 sellers in 12 big provinces and cities in the northern, central – CentralHighlands, southeastern and southwestern regions. An online survey was alsoconducted by using a specialised app, and it received 4,000 responses fromconsumers nationwide.
The survey also took into account thetransparency of businesses' activities and local managerial agencies' feedbackon their law compliance.
Chairwoman of the association Vu Kim Hanh saidover the 23 years of the High-Quality Vietnamese Goods survey, many enterpriseshave developed sustainably. Useful information of the survey has given them aninsight into developments of the market amid the enforcement of free tradeagreements.
Minister of Science and Technology Chu Ngoc Anhnoted the High-Quality Vietnam Goods awards not only recognise businesses’efforts but also encourage the improvement of their product and servicequality, competiveness, operation efficiency and integration into the globaleconomy.-VNA
