Da Nang (VNA) – Duy Tan University in the central city of Da Nang hosted the 2016 ASEAN Student Conference that opened on August 12.
The conference, taking place from August 11-14, is being attended by over 100 students from universities in ASEAN nations.
The event is a small-scale version of the ASEAN Student Forum, presenting opportunities for the participants to discuss regional issues of education, employment and to share experience in studying and researching.
In the framework of the conference, several exhibitions will be organised, introducing international training and internship exchanges.
Participants can also gain an insight into the operation of the Passage to ASEAN (P2A), which Duy Tan University is one of the co-founders.
Created in June 2012, the P2A has now grouped 60 universities in ASEAN, aiming at enhancing understanding on regional integration among ASEAN students. ASEAN, which was established in 1967, includes 10 members, namely Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.-VNA
