Duy Tan University hosts Passage to ASEAN’s partner meeting

The 4th Passage to ASEAN (P2A) partner meeting kicked off in Duy Tan University in central Da Nang city on May 14, focusing on promoting current and future education development within the bloc.

The event was attended by 50 delegates from 22 universities and collegesin 9 ASEAN member nations, including Indonesia, Thailand, thePhilippines, Myanmar, Malaysia, Singapore, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam.

Inthe framework of the meeting, the P2A is also conducting its first-everstudy abroad fair and academic conference alongside the meeting.Participating institutions may choose to set up a booth at the studyabroad fair to promote and offer opportunities to local students inVietnam.

Exchanges and games arranged during themeeting also helped participants gain understanding on the history andculture of ASEAN member states.

According to LeCong Co, Rector of Duy Tan University, the P2A was formed in 2012 duringthe First Assembly of Representatives hosted by Thailand’s RangsitUniversity.

It now groups 45 universities andcolleges in the ASEAN. P2A is guided by the One Vision, One Identity andOne Caring and Sharing Community and by the Principles of the ASEANCharter. It works to enhance connection among students in the region andregional solidarity towards a united ASEAN Community.-VNA
