Hanoi (VNA) – A photo exhibition on ASEAN countries and people is scheduledto take place at Ly Thai To square in downtown Hanoi from August 5 to 11.

Theevent will feature 230 photos taken by 136 photographers from the ten ASEA memberstates, including 61 Vietnamese.

Thephotos have been selected from a contest launched by the Department of Art,Photography and Exhibitions under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, whichattracted 10,127 entries by 1,248 amateur and professional artists from acrossthe ASEAN region.

Theorganiser said the contest broke a record in terms of submission volumecompared to similar competitions held by the ministry in recent years.

Theupcoming exhibition is part of activities to celebrate ASEAN’s 50th founding anniversary.-VNA

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.
