Artificial Intelligence Day looks to unlock power of generative AI

Vietnam Artificial Intelligence Day (AI4VN) 2024 is themed “Unlock the Power of Generative AI”, and is scheduled to take place at the National Convention Centre in Hanoi on August 23.

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam Artificial Intelligence Day (AI4VN) 2024 is themed “Unlock the Power of Generative AI”, and is scheduled to take place at the National Convention Centre in Hanoi on August 23.

This year’s event is expected to attract a large number of experts, and leaders of technology and AI-developing businesses in Vietnam and other countries, along with many universities.

Under the direction of the Ministry of Science and Technology, it has been held each year since 2018 by the e-newspaper VnExpress in coordination with the Vietnam Club of Faculties, Institutes, Schools, and Universities of Information and Communication Technology (FISU).

At the main session on August 23 afternoon, representatives of international enterprises and domestic experts will look into AI development trends in the world and Vietnam, along with the country’s preparations, potential, opportunities, and challenges when developing and applying AI.

AI4VN 2024 will include four-panel discussions about AI automation, the application of generative AI at small- and medium-sized enterprises in Vietnam, data centre, and AI cloud, as well as AI application to healthcare.

A representative of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) will deliver a speech on international cooperation in ensuring AI safety.

In addition, an AI expo will be held to showcase outstanding AI products of businesses, institutes, and schools. There, visitors will have a chance to experience the AI-based products available in the Vietnamese market.

The organising board is also set to present AI Awards 2024 to outstanding AI-based products and solutions on this occasion. Forty-eight entries have been shortlisted. This is the second year the AI Awards are presented as part of the AI4VN./.
