An Giang, July 24 (VNA) – Remains of 172 martyrs were laidto rest in Ba Dac Hill Martyrs’ Cemetery in Thoi Son commune, Tinh Biendistrict of the Mekong Delta province of An Giang at a ceremony on July 24.
According to Colonel Pham Quang Trung, head of searchingTeam K93 under the An Giang Military High Command, the remains were searched andrepatriated from Cambodia and An Giang during the 2018-2019 dry season.
Only three martyrs were identified, he added and called onpeople across the country to contact the team if they have any information ofthe areas where martyrs’ remains are buried in the past, thus supporting theteam during the searching process.

Addressing the ceremony, Chairman of the People’s Committeeof An Giang Nguyen Thanh Binh lauded efforts of Teams K90 and K93 as well asthe support of locals and authorities of An Giang and Cambodian localitiesduring the search.
Meanwhile, in the northern province of Bac Ninh, anexhibition was held on the occasion of the 72nd Day of War Invalidsand Martyrs (July 27), displaying more than 300 photos, documents and items highlightingactivities by the Party and the State in caring for war invalids and familiesof the martyrs, as well as stories of heroic martyrs and mothers in Bac Ninh,and the province’s efforts to support war invalids and policy beneficiaries.
At the exhibition, which will stay open until the end ofAugust, the Bac Ninh Museum received a number of war documents and exhibitsdonated by individuals and organisations.-VNA
