Ho Chi Minh City accounted for the largest number ofnewly-detected cases over the past 24 hours with 915, followed by Binh Duongwith 135, Dong Thap with 108, and Khanh Hoa 28. The capital city of Hanoireported five cases.
Itis noteworthy that 1,226 cases were detected in quarantine facilities or areasunder lockdown
Thenational tally reached 24,385, of which 22,487 were local infections.
Also on July 8, 393 COVID-19 patients were given theall-clear, raising the total number of recoveries to 8,950. The death toll was105.
Among active patients, 333 have tested negative for thecoronavirus once, 203 twice and 80 thrice.
Meanwhile, the COVID-19 vaccine fund had received 8,076billion VND (351 million USD) as of 5:30 pm July 8. The money was donated by 409,872organisations and individuals./.
