Activities to mark 25th anniversary of Vietnam-Israel ties

A series of activities are to be held on October 27 to celebrate the 25th founding anniversary of the Vietnam-Israel diplomatic ties (1993-2018), announced the Embassy of Israel in Vietnam.

Hanoi (VNA) – A series ofactivities are to be held on October 27 to celebrate the 25th foundinganniversary of the Vietnam-Israel diplomatic ties (1993-2018), announced theEmbassy of Israel in Vietnam on October 23.

The events, to be held by the embassy incollaboration with the Hanoi People’s Committee, aims to bolster solidarity andfriendship of the two nations and between Israel and Hanoi in particular, theoffice said.

An art programme featuring traditionalmusic and dance of Israeli artists is set to be held at the Ly Thai To StatueSquare by Hoan Kiem Lake in the heart of Hanoi, along with other activities introducingcultural traits of the two countries.

An exhibition on water and agriculturetechnologies of Israel will also be held on the day, with a wall of rice spanningabout 100 sq.m. as the centrepiece. It features future technology that helps changethe look of urban areas and improve cultivation capacity right in cities acrossthe world.

At the exhibition, Watergen, a unique andadvanced technology which extracts fresh water directly from the air, will alsobe put on show.

Israeli Ambassador Nadav Eshcar noted thatthe activities manifest the close bonds between the two countries in reform,creativity and vision, as well as education collaboration, high technology,agriculture and science.

He also expressed his belief in the hugepotential in Israel’s cooperation with Vietnam in the coming time.-VNA
