Hanoi (VNA) –Hoang Binh Quan, head of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) CentralCommittee’s Commission for External Relations, on August 14 expressed hisbelief that young people in Vietnam and China should be aware of their mission tocontinue cultivating the friendship between the two countries.

He made the statement whilereceiving Secretary of the Secretariat ofthe Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China (CYLC) Fu Zhenbang,who is currently visiting Vietnam to attend the 18th Vietnam-China youthfriendship meeting which takes place from August 13-19.

Quan saidthe meeting is significant as it contributes to enhancing cooperation, trust,and mutual understanding between the young people of the two countries, as wellas their broader populations.

Theofficial urged the Central Committees of the CYLC and the Ho Chi Minh CommunistYouth Union of Vietnam to reinforce their in-depth collaboration; step upideological education for youths; and promote roles for youngsters in emergingareas such as digital, online technologies and the Fourth IndustrialRevolution, and in efforts against the “colour” revolution.

For hispart, Fu stressedthat the Central Committee of the CYLC aims to intensify its friendship withChina’s neighbouring countries, such as Vietnam.

The CYLC will enhance exchanges with its Vietnamese counterpart, thuscontributing further to the traditional friendship and comprehensivecooperation between the two countries, he said. –VNA
