Youth Union launches Month of Youth

The Month of Youth was launched by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union on February 28 at Kim Binh historical relics site in Chiem Hoa district in the northern province of Tuyen Quang.

The tree-planting festival was also held at the same venue where manyhistorically important events during the fight against colonialistFrench took place.

Addressing the event, NguyenThien Nhan, C hairman of the Central Committee of the VietnamFatherland Front, praised the pioneering and voluntary spirit of theyoung people in maintaining the tradition of the tree-planting festival.

On the day, more than 100 erythrophloeum fordidtrees and 1,500 Cedrela odorata trees were planted in the Kim Binh relicsite and areas around Kim Binh commune.

On the occasion, 20 scholarships, worth 500,000 VND each, were given to disadvantaged students in the commune.-VNA

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.

Tien Giang strives to reduce poverty rate to 0.87% this year
