World friends join National Day celebrations

Addressing a party held at the Berlin-based embassy on September 2,Ambassador Do Hoa Binh said the Vietnamese officers, students andworkers who are living and studying in Germany are one-and-allcommitted to improving solidarity within the overseas Vietnamesecommunity, its robust growth, and active integration into the localsociety so that it may continuously contribute to national constructionback home.

The reception was attended by Vice Chairman of the Germany-VietnamAssociation, Prof. Wilfried Lulei, and author Hellmut Kapfenbergerwhose book entitled “Ho Chi Minh” was recently published in Germany onthe 119th anniversary of Uncle Ho’s birthday, as well as byrepresentatives of the Vietnam business association, alumni groups andthe overseas Vietnamese community in Berlin .

On the occasion, Counsellor Phan Y Nhi called for a response to thecampaign to “Study, work and follow the ethics of Ho Chi Minh”, tospeed up the introduction of Vietnamese literature and culturalproducts in Germany and to collect documents and items related to UncleHo which are preserved by German friends.

Prof. Wilfried Lulei praised the significance of Vietnam ’s AugustRevolution and National Day, saying he wished the friendship andsolidarity between the Vietnamese and German people would increasinglydevelop in future.

Earlier on September 1, Vietnam ’s embassy in Indonesia also held a meeting to celebrate the day.

Joining the reception were representatives of Vietnam ’s PermanentMission to ASEAN, Vietnamese experts and specialists at theJakarta-based ASEAN Secretariat and representatives of the Vietnamesecommunity and students in Indonesia .

A delegation of the Lao embassy based in Indonesia , led by AmbassadorPrasith Sayasith and his spouse, on August 31, visited the VietnameseEmbassy to celebrate the National Day.

In Cuba , the Vietnamese Embassy and the Cuban` Association ofFriendship between Peoples (ICAP) jointly organised a “ Vietnam today”photo exhibition at the Revolution Museum in the capital, Havana .

Over 40 photos in the show portray the cause of national constructionand capture the sense of optimism and creativity of the Vietnamesepeople, Ambassador Vu Chi Cong said. They also reflect the solidarityand friendship between Vietnam and Cuba./.

ASEAN’s goods, culinary culture promoted in Europe

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.

Tien Giang strives to reduce poverty rate to 0.87% this year

Chinese sick sailor on vessel AMIS STAR provided with first aid
