The development of a start-up ecology at universities and localities is among the topics being discussed at an international workshop that opened in the Ho Chi Minh City-based Hoa Sen University on July 7.

HCM City (VNA) – The development of astart-up ecology at universities and localities is among the topics beingdiscussed at an international workshop that opened in the Ho Chi Minh City-basedHoa Sen University on July 7.

Participants also touched upon building anecology to encourage start-up spirit among youngsters, the Government’s role inthe ecology and examples taken from foreign countries. 

Domestic and foreign researchers, investors andentrepreneurs shared initiatives and experience in rolling out start-up planssuccessfully. 

They said human resources, ideas, capital,models and suitable time are the elements deciding the success of start-ups. 

However, start-up often goes with innovationsand risks due to its connection with new technologies. 

The workshop also underlined the important roleplayed by universities in shaping ideas and orienting start-up plans forstudents. 

Dr. Truong Nguyen Thanh, Deputy Rector of the HoaSen University, said the university has conducted various activities to promotestart-up spirit among its students, including connections with businesses. 

The two-day workshop is held by the Hoa SenUniversity, the International Vietnamese Academics Network and the Ho Chi MinhCity supporting centre for youth’s start-up.-VNA
