Hanoi (VNA) – A workshop on legal policies with the Vietnamese community in Europe was held onSeptember 9 in both online and offline formats.

Co-hosted by the National Assembly’s Committee for ExternalRelations and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' State Commission for Overseas VietnameseAffairs (SCOV), the event was linked between Hanoi with the UK, France, Germany, Poland,Hungary, the Czech Republic and Russia.

Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman of the NA's Committee for ExternalRelations Nguyen Manh Tien expressed his wish to listen to OV people's opinions about policies and laws for the Vietnamese communities abroad,considering them an important reference to perfect laws, thus simplifying administrative procedures, meeting theiraspirations and creating favourable conditions for them to return home, dobusiness and invest in the home country.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and SCOV Chairman Pham Quang Hieu askedparticipants to discuss policies regarding entry-exit, investment, house purchaseand ownership in Vietnam, apart from citizenship policies./.

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.

Tien Giang strives to reduce poverty rate to 0.87% this year

Chinese sick sailor on vessel AMIS STAR provided with first aid
