Workers to be trained for 2015 Worldskills Competition

Vietnamese workers will be trained with the assistance of Samsung Electronics Vietnam (SEV) in order to gain better results at the 43rd Worldskills Competition held in August 2015 in Brazil.
Vietnamese workers will be trained with the assistance of SamsungElectronics Vietnam (SEV) in order to gain better results at the 43rdWorldskills Competition held in August 2015 in Brazil.

The firm will focus on enhancing skills of workers specialising inmechanical engineering – computer-aided design (CAD) and informationtechnology solutions.

Following a memorandum ofunderstanding signed with the General Department for Vocational Trainingunder the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs on March 4,SEV will choose contestants from the 2014 national skills competition totrain in its factories within a year.

SEV will alsooffer a three-month training course in the Republic of Korea forVietnamese experts who are jury members for the two industries.

In the 42nd Worldskills Contest held in Leipzig, Germany in July2013, Vietnamese workers won seven vocational certificates ofexcellence.-VNA

ASEAN’s goods, culinary culture promoted in Europe

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.

Tien Giang strives to reduce poverty rate to 0.87% this year
