VicePresident Doan said at the launching ceremony that the Vietnamese peoplealways attach importance to learning and consider learning a foundationfor every victory. That valuable tradition has developed throughout thecountry’s history.
She affirmed that the Vietnamese Partyhas regarded education-training and science-technology as a top nationalpolicy, creating a broad learning environment and pouring large amountof investments into education.
The Vice StatePresident asked authorities at all levels and people to build a learningsociety, in which all citizens have equal opportunities in study andeducation.
UNESCO Chief Representative in VietnamKatherine Muller Marin praised Vietnam ’s efforts in building alearning society. UN organisations are ready to help Vietnam realisethe commitment to popularise the spirit of lifelong learning to everycitizen, she added./.
