Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnam – Turkey B2B MatchingWebinar on Packaging Products 2020, co-organised by the Vietnam Trade PromotionAgency (Vietrade), the Vietnam Trade Office in Turkey, and the VietnamPackaging Association (VIPAS), took place on December 16.

Speaking at the event, deputy head of Vietrade Le HoangTai stated Turkey is always a top partner of Vietnam in the Middle East. 

He said with a highly skilled workforce, abundant suppliesof materials and experience in working with demanding markets like the US, theEU, and Japan, Vietnamese packaging producers are able to meet demand of buyers.

Omer Gurkok, purchasing manager at the Turkish industrialand services group Arcelik, advised Vietnamese firms to pay attention toenvironmental protection, social responsibility, and sustainable development ifthey seek partnership with Arcelik.   

VIPAS General Secretary Luong Thi Thuy Ngan  affirmedVietnam is capable of producing packaging products for Turkish importers,adding that the local packaging sector grows an annual average of between 15and 20 percent.

Right after the conference, Vietnamese packaging producersand exporters joined virtual B2B sessions with Arcelik’s subsidiaries./.
