WB-funded hospital waste treatment project approved

The Ministry of Health has approved a project on hospital waste treatment in the central province of Quang Binh at a cost of 28 billion VND (1.28 million USD) sourced by the World Bank’s preferential loan.

The Ministry of Health has approved a project on hospital wastetreatment in the central province of Quang Binh at a cost of 28 billionVND (1.28 million USD) sourced by the World Bank’s preferential loan.

Beneficiary hospitals include Minh Hoa general hospital with 11 billionVND, Tuyen Hoa district general hospital, 5 billion VND, Dong Hoi citygeneral hospital, 6.7 billion VND, and Quang Ninh district generalhospital, 5 billion VND.

The project focuses on building and upgrading solid and liquid waste treatment systems in the hospital.

It will also give training to hospital staff and managers well as helpenhance their management capacity in protecting the environment.-VNA
