Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnam Prosperity Joint-Stock Commercial Bank(VPBank) has officially signed a strategic collaboration agreement with Amazon WebServices (AWS) in enhancing digital banking experiences for itscustomers.

VPBank will use AWS SageMaker and AWS AIServices to improve its analytics capabilities and accelerate the developmentof banking-financial applications, enhance automation of banking tasks, anddrive new digital banking features such as chatbots and digital bankingsolutions to improve customer service.

Thecollaboration will also help VPBank optimise costs without having to invest inon-premises infrastructure to scale its digital banking services.

VPBank will also leverage the AWS Training andCertification programmes to develop a workforce proficient in cloud skills.Additionally, AWS will work together with VPBank to support its recruitmentevents targeted at engineers and developers to strengthen its digital workforce.

Luu Thi Thao, Standing Deputy CEO of VPBanksaid the collaboration between VPBank and AWS will create great innovationsin the bank to satisfy the diverse needs of customers.

Besides, it will also help strengthen thestability of VPBank’s core banking system, meeting the highest standards ofinformation security and safety, and helping customers feel more secure everytime they conduct a transaction, especially in the digital environment, sheadded.

VPBank expects that its cooperation with AWS - the world biggest cloudprovider - will lift the bank to a new height in technological capacity, helpingit better serve customers and become a destination of high skilled human resources./.
